Our kids are always our champs!

Wow what a week and weekend!  Parker wrapped up this years basketball season and we attended his end of the year banquet.  This year they got really cool Nike bags monogrammed with their last names.  This is something we can use instead of the dust collecting trophies that we have a million of.  Parker's team, the Lakers, were this years league champs only losing one game this year.  What a great season!

Friday evening. we found out Kanon made JV baseball for CHS this year.  We are so proud and excited for him.  Pray that he has a great year and continues to get stronger as varsity tryouts will be just around the corner.

Saturday, we headed to Georgia Highlands in Rome for Grayson's first ever 4-H District Project Achievement.  She was not nervous at all, however, I was a bundle of nerves for her.  We watched her presentation and saw how well she did, but didn't really know until awards time. Don and I left for lunch after her presentation and had some fun of our own.  We are almost sure we will turn up on some filmed bloopers show for our company at lunch.  We sat down at this restaurant which was a little different, but turned out to have wonderful food and behind us this lady sat down in the next booth.  She was odd to say the least, but then she began getting more bizarre by the minute.  First, she took forever ordering, then she had to run to her car, then she had to run to the restroom, then she got up during her meal and went to pay, then she got on the phone with someone and began having a strange disagreement really..really loud.  After that she began talking to herself.  It was so funny I couldn't contain my laughter and the other people in the restaurant were laughing as well.  What topped it off in the funny department, was her name was Christi.  Don said that explained everything.

After lunch, Don and I returned to Graysons awards ceremony in a gym with about 400.  We were so proud of our sweet daughter when her name was called for 1st Place!  Yes, she won.  She could not stop smiling.  Her presentation was on photography and I have no doubt that public speaking will continue to be her thing.  Great Job...Grayson, we love you!

We know that we have great kids, but its weekends like these that make me even more proud to be their mom.  Thank you God for choosing me for their mom.

She Said Yes...

Whatever happened to the boy just asking the girl to their senior prom?  It doesn't exactly work like that anymore.  In our little community, it's pressure for the high school guys to be creative with their invitation.  This year Tyler decided to write on the girls car PROM?  And...guess what she said YES!  the same way.  It was cute and sweet at the same time.  I can't wait to get some awesome prom pictures this year.  More importantly, I can't believe this is my first borns Senior Prom and I am excited he is going.

Moving Forward into a New Year..

I'm not gonna lie 2012 was a hard year for me and was not the best year for my family.  We experienced the significant loss of my mother, me once again doubting career paths, a strained family relationship and I am homesick and ready to move back to the other house.  But with all that being said, I know all of this is in God's plan for us.  I have made News Years Resolutions in the past only to break them each and every time so I have finally given up even making them.  I am however excited for 2013.  I am excited to be moving back to our "home sweet home", I am excited and thankful that my job is working perfectly and I am excited about our future.  I am at peace with alot of decisions and I am grateful that God gives us grace when we need it.  My children are healthy and happy and my husband is amazing.  We are beyond blessed!  Our calendars are overflowing as usual and our friends are always there for us, so bring on 2013....we're ready. Lots of fun and exciting things are happening with the Breedlove's.

Jumping into 2013

Look at this sweet daddy...Grayson and Parker finally got a trampoline so he worked out in the freezing cold to put together, all he lacks is the net.  Santa came through even against all mine and Don's protest over the years.  I just pray no broken bones.

Cold outside, but that didn't stop them from getting in a little ( ok alot) of jumping.

Christmas 2012

This Christmas was different in many ways, but also very special.  We began new relationships as we mourned a special relationship.  My sweet children had a blast as usual opening all the fabulous presents.  We also had a great time as a family lighting the advent candle at Christmas Eve Service at Church.  We had fun at my cousin Dereks even though we traveled through what seemed like the "deliverance movie" to get there.  All the things that go into Christmas planning and then we blink and its over, but I enjoy nothing better than having a long span of uninterrupted family time.  Lazy days with no schedules and piling on the sofa watching movies in the middle of the day with my sweetie is the BEST!

Kanon liked his North Face I guess...he decided to leave it on in the house.
Instead of Where's Waldo?  How about Where's Grayson?  What a mess!

Blessings for now!

19 years and counting....

Don and I celebrated 19 years of wedded bliss on December 4th.  I am so blessed that 19 years ago he chose to spend the rest of his life with me.  Things have not always been perfect, but we have always been a perfect fit.  We are a work in progress.  Hopefully, we are modeling true love to our children so that someday they will have a God honoring marriage.  We are blessed with four amazing children and have come along way since that sweet white house in Dawnville.  I look forward to spending the rest of my life with this sweet man and growing old together.  I love you Don!

Cotillion 2012

It's finally time for Parker's Cotillion.  Both Tyler and Kanon have gone through this invitation only program and Loved it.  Ok..ok.. so I fibbed a little.  Tyler and Kanon both went through because I made them.  It is such a sweet and beneficial program and just maybe a few manners and dance steps may rub off on them in the process.  At least I get to dance with my boys and get an awesome picture.  Next year will be Grayson's turn so Don can dance with his little girl.

This year Parker actually enjoyed himself.  He is quite the handsome boy and loved dressing up and hanging with his friends.  I think he actually had fun and didn't mind it at all.  The sweet little boys and girls are all dressed up for the annual holly ball and bless their hearts must feel like they are in a fish bowl with all us parents gawking at them.  Us parents are running around snapping pictures of their every move the entire night.  Don says Cotillion is more for me than our kids.  Anyway...It's a fun evening and part of the Breedlove kid rite of passage.
